California Autumn 2005 - Day 7 - Forest Hill Connector MTB Ride

After breakfast we checked out of the Hotel, It was a cold and gray day so we were glad to be leaving Marin to hopefully find better weather up at Auburn.

We drove north up the 101 and then got on the 39 and then onto the I80 east to Sacramento and finally onto Auburn travelling 115 miles. We had a coupon book we had picked up on our travels which listed a few hotels in Auburn, we decided to try the Comfort Inn as we had stayed at them in the past, and we got a good clean room on the 2nd floor at the back of the hotel away from the road. Hotel has free high speed internet included in price. We then went out and had a burger at an In & out Burger place, and went to a couple of local bike shops - Auburn BikeWorks & Cambria Bicycle Emporium. Click to Enlarge
Forest Hill Connector MTB Ride Based on suggestions for a quick ride from a chap at the Auburn Bike works we decided to do a quick loop ride on the forest hill connector trail to stretch our legs. We rode just 11 miles but was enough to stretch out our legs. Forest Hill Connector MTB Ride

We then headed back to the hotel and got cleaned up and then headed into Old Town Auburn for something to eat , and had a good Mexican meal at a place called Cafe Delicias in the old town.
