Click to Enlarge In the morning we swapped our room at the Hotel for a quiter one, we discovered the reason it was quiet was someone had stuffed a bath towel in the vent in the bathroom !!, but at lest it was quiet. As my back was still very sore we decided to do a hike today instead of a bike ride. We had a good breakfast at the Hotel and then set out. Click to Enlarge
We decided to drive over to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, we drove over the Kebler Pass through the largest Aspen Forests in the world. CR 133 was a graded dirt road and was very seanic. Click to Enlarge

Click to Enlarge On the way we stopped at Lake Irwin and had a short hike, the mountain sin the background are the Ruby Peaks. Click to Enlarge

Click to Enlarge Once we lft CR 133 we headed along normal roads where we stopped in Montrose and had a burger at a Burger King before heading to the Black canyon visitors center. We obtained permits from the center which allowed us to hike down to the bottom of the canyon. Click to Enlarge
