After having breakfast at the hotel, we drove back along the 287 to Rawlin's, then along the 180 to 130 heading south into Colorado. We stopped at Walden and had lunch at a pub. We then carried on arrived at Winter park at 3pm after driving 320 miles from Lander. Click to Enlarge

We went to the Vintage Hotel which I had read about in an old uk mountain bike article about biking at Winter Park, we got a great rate of $180 for 3 nights staying in a loft style apartment with a huge lower level living area , and a sleeping area up a spiral staircase and High speed Internet was included free as they were running a conference at the hotel that need it enabled in all rooms.

The Hotel had a secure area where they stored skis in the winter where we could lock our Bikes up safely.

After unpacking I set up the new shock i'd got from speedgoat on my bike and we set out for a ride on our bikes.

Winter park MTB singletrack ride We went mountain biking straight from the Hotel, we rode along the Serenity trail a single track trail - Ice Hill - Blue Sky Trail before we turned back and rode back to the hotel, having ridden a modest 10 miles Winter park MTB singletrack ride

After we finished cycling we had a swim in the great outdoor pool, and then used the hot tub. In the evening we went to Hermandos Pizza Pub in downtown winter park - where we had our best Pizza ever.
